Financial Management Association (FMA)

Overview
The Financial Management Association International (FMA) was established in 1970 and has become the global leader in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision making. FMA broadens the common interests between academics and practitioners by providing opportunities for professional interaction among academics, practitioners and students. The organization enhances the quality of education in finance while promoting the development and understanding of basic and applied research and sound financial practices.

Activities
Our chapter of the FMA has several activities each school year including visiting the New York Stock Exchange and Oppenheimer and Company, attending the largest student-run investing conference in the world, and arranging guest speakers to share insights into the financial industry with us. Our goal is to prepare students to be successful managers of their personal finances as well as to work in the financial industry
