The Alfred University Student Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) is a strategic resource for career growth and development. It offers students of all majors the opportunity to meet new people, network with marketing professionals and attend a wide variety of professional events. The AMA strives to provide the members of the Alfred community with the opportunity to:

Working in student teams with AMA projects and programs is not only fun and rewarding but also goes directly to the experience section of AMA members' resumes giving them a competitive advantage when looking for internships and jobs.
Employers want to hire highly motivated candidates who demonstrate passion through their personal initiatives. Participation with the AMA demonstrates passion and initiative and provides the leadership experience in setting and achieving goals that organizations demand. Employers expect hands-on experience in working through the challenges of critical thinking, creative problem solving, collaborative teamwork and communication that are gained through participation with the AMA.
Members of the AMA gain valuable experience in real world settings, dealing with companies and organizations that rely on AMA help to facilitate marketing success.
