AU Students Tour Germany!
The Alfred University College of Business has once again embarked on the mission to provide international experience to its students. From Friday January 8th through Sunday January 17th, a group of students and 2 professors traveled to Germany. Professor Frank Duserick, and Dr. Amy Rummel, both of the College of Business, led students through the cities of Munich, Stuttgart, and Heidenheim, Germany. In Heidenheim, where they were hosted at the University of Heidenheim, the Alfred members spent time with Professor Juergen Seitz, and his students to enhance their cultural experience.
While on the study tour, the students visited German businesses to understand how businesses operate in a global business climate. This year some highlights from the 10 day tour included: the Cathedral of Ulm, the Medieval Crime Museum, Huber Group Automotive, Nymphenburg Palace, and OSI International Foods. This April, students from the University of Heidenheim will be visiting Alfred University with their Professor Seitz to partake in classes, campus life and regional business visits. Students in the MBA program will collaborate and compete in a two-week simulation in the MBA Decision Making course.

"It was a trip of a life time. Being put in real life situations, especially in another country, teaches you more than a classroom ever can. You also realize there is a whole other world out there ready to be explored. You not only learn things on an academic level but it also helps you prepare for the real world." Eddie VanStine, Business Administration '11
